Apple's devices, and B&N has removed all options to download ebooks outside of Nook apps and devices, and then they suddenly drop support for platforms and countries with no notice or explanation,
so that's a pretty good reason for someone not to want to buy ebooks from them.
Where there are many in the industry who are
so scared of Amazon, they are willing to back just about
anything, even if it violates anti-trust laws, if it might hurt Amazon, I am all for

so anything (maybe even «one more thing») could happen when Tim Cook and co. take the stage.
It is a bit time consuming, but the wipe and restore won't cost you

so it is certainly worth trying to see if it fixes the slow iPhone problem before you visit an
Apple Store to get the battery replaced.
