Also as for the
apple puree, can I
just grate some
apples instead of cooking and
pureeing them?
I am
just wondering how much the recipe for
apple puree on page 40 makes as I see that most of the recipes call for 200g.
It's held together by chia seed and
apple puree, which together mean that you really can pick up the slices without them braking —
just like real pizza!
Hello Ella, I love this loaf I have made it so many times,
just thought i'd let you know I used a mashed banana the other day as I had run out of
apple puree.
I tried this by blending everything but the pumpkin
puree with chopped
apples, and then mixing with 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts, and it is awesome - I
just heat it to eat (like porridge)
Either way, next step is
just pureeing the
apples.
Stir in the
apple puree, vanilla extract and nondairy milk and mix
just until incorporated.

pureed cooked
apple in place of banana (I don't eat bananas!)
I didn't have applesauce so I
just used some of my son's homemade baby food (

apple), and I was all out of ground cloves so I
just left that spice out, but I still think it turned out great!

I made it with fresh
apples that I had
just pureed with a vitamix, so it was a little undersweet (cooked applesauce is much sweeter) but still fantastic.
I also
just puree three small
apples in the Vitamix instead of measuring out
apple sauce.
I would recommend making your own baby food to anyone... if you don't have something to
puree the fruit / vege simply use a grater... works
just the same for things like
apple, pears and even sweet patatoes after they are boiled.
