scholarship programs have limited time windows
for applying each year, and while
applications may be closed
for one year, the opening
for the next round of
applications will be listed on the website.
Depending on whether the student is
applying through the Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the College
Scholarship Service (CSS) Profile, different factors of a 529 account are taken into consideration and will lower the amount of financial aid a student can receive, if not disqualify the student completely.
High school seniors should begin
applying for scholarships as early as possible, making sure they get in all
applications by deadline.
