We do not have a physical shelter - our rescue dogs are placed in
approved foster homes once they arrive to Maine and until they are adopted into their forever home
All of the Dobermans in our rescue program are housed
in approved foster homes - living as members of their foster families until permanent adopters come forward to give them «forever» homes.
As a 100 % volunteer organization, DVSHR dogs live in
our approved foster homes throughout the region.
Save A Lab Rescue provides all necessary veterinary care for its rescued Labradors and transports them to
approved foster homes, where they are cared for until they are adopted.

We do not have a facility; however, each animal that enters our program goes into
an approved foster home and is fully vetted.
A gift of this size enables us to save an expectant mom, get her proper vetting, and put her into a qualified and
approved foster home that is familiar with the birthing process.
In 2017, the ARL placed 198 bottle babies, 450 weaned kittens, and 213 moms with kittens in
