look at BlackBerry 10, the default homescreen is a set of «
tiles» that represent a widget - like view of your recently used
apps while you can swipe to the left to view the messaging

Everything about Movie Moments seems genuine Microsoft, from its «Microsoft confidential» warning screen at launch, to its Live
Tile design, to its overall interface, which mirrors the
look of the SkyDrive
app.
Every time you install a desktop
app in Windows 8 it
looks like a geometric bomb went off on your Start screen, as every single possible shortcut associated with the program gets a
tile of its own.
It
looks fantastic and works a treat, showing every
app or program as a
tile, which is easy for touch and mouse and keyboard alone.
When you go to the Start screen, it will
look as if the
tiles (or list of installed
apps) are hovering over your desktop rather than existing in a different environment.
We previously
looked at the Windows Phone
app last month when we were able to publish a sneak peek at the new features, including Live
Tiles for individual web applications.
You may not be a fan of the
tiles Motorola has included to indicate
apps such as Messages, Phone or Settings, but it's a small price to pay for such a clean -
looking piece of phone software overall.
The
app has a very robust Live
Tile and lockscreen support, plenty of settings to help the
app fit your needs better and is just a sharp
looking app.
Sadly, it
looks like now there's now no way to simply launch an
app by tapping on an active Live
Tile.
One thing that I was really
looking forward to was the background to the live
tiles, as Windows Phone 8.1 allows you to set a background image that appears as a collage made up of the
tiles, however this is hampered by the amount of
apps that come in block colours.
If you're

app, it's worth a try.
