plates, cut up and pieced back together, combining areas of lace - like delicacy and passionate deep troughs.
For her edition for the Whitechapel Gallery Ramsden has made a single gesture or «swipe» directly onto the copper
etching plate, which has then been printed to create a varied edition of 35 sugar lift
aquatints.
