Yet you refuse to accept that the doctrine that they follow — the Quran —

I don't see Christians as more honest, more faithful in marriage, less
violent, more giving, more polite, or more anything than the millions of people who
are indifferent to
religion and who only go to a church if there

@DaLe, how can you say no one commits acts of violence in the name of their
religion when there
are plenty of examples of Muslims not only shouting «Allahu Akbar» when committing their

is in fact an Abrahamic
religion that has a very
violent past, one ridden with; war, slavery, colonialism and intrusive missionaries - it
is not Islam.

are who they
are, and if they
're violent, they'll just use
religion as the excuse.
If you want to use the broad definition of
religion then you must use the broad definition of violence as
being a global phenomenon, not a singular
violent act averted.
Yes, a certain section of extremists,
are violent in the name of «Islam» but they aren't truly part of the
religion.
I think if we
were to disregard every
violent act of God and jst focus on the nice things from the Bible, we wouldn't have much of a Bible... in fact, we wouldn't have a Bible and may as well just start a new
religion altogether.

Admittedly there have
been abuses of
religion and abuses and atrocities committed in the name of
religion, but this
is more and indictment of the
violent nature of humans than of
religion.
It
is true that there have
been those who committed
violent acts in the name of Christianity, but I submit to you they
were not true followers of Christ evidenced by their use of
religion for their own personal gain as they rejected the tenets of their faith as set forth by it
's founder.
