Haleakala National Park is best known for being the world's largest
dormant volcano and, at over 10,000 feet above sea level, the tallest peak on Maui where you can watch a fantastic sunrise, view unique wildlife, and have an amazingly vivid stargazing experience; However, the park encompasses more than 30,000 acres
of public land, stretching from the summit down to the coast where lush natural beauty, waterfalls, and rich Hawaiian culture await in an
area called Kipahulu.
