action director Chang Cheh and his disciple John Woo; Hong Kong directors Wong Kar - wai and Allen Fong; Taiwanese directors Hou Hsiao - hsien, Edward Yang, Ang Lee, and Tsai Ming - liang (most
of them speaking about their fathers or children and how these relationships inflect their films); older mainland directors such as Xie Jin; and actor Leslie Cheung (critiquing some
of his own pictures).
Tall shelving units near the entry are piled with a motley
array of classic toys and
action figures, from Transformers to old Fisher - Price favorites — overflow, Hancock explains, from the more selective collection he keeps in a «museum» at his house.
A banal, if obsessive, collection at a glance — «Scarface» movie posters, «Scarface»

array takes on a different meaning when you learn, as is noted in the press release, that it belongs to a childhood friend
of Ybarra's who was himself imprisoned for dealing drugs and who looked to the Al Pacino's character as a hero.
