others, is a well - connected upstate powerbroker who kept dirt on politicians for a «rainy day» and had ties to many
elected officials, including state Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, sources said.
Other elected officials, many who have designs on succeeding Bloomberg in 2013, have stepped up their criticism
of the mayor after the Post reported this week
of Goldsmith's
arrest.
