"Arrowroot starch" refers to a white powder made from the roots of a plant called arrowroot. It is used as a thickener in cooking and baking to make sauces, soups, and desserts thicker and more smooth.

I added back enough of the almond milk so it just stuck together and also added a
tablespoon arrowroot starch to hold it together more.
I haven't been able to
find arrowroot starch (and haven't had a chance to have any shipped) so I haven't tried that yet.
I chose
arrowroot starch because it produces a less - chewy final texture, but tapioca or even cornstarch will work well, too.
Mix for several minutes or until completely smooth and whipped, adding
more arrowroot starch (1/2 teaspoon at a time) if necessary to thicken.
Add 3/4
cup arrowroot starch, 2 tbsp coconut flour, 3 tbsp oil, 1 tsp salt and stir until all ingredients are incorporated.
So, I was wondering, could I used cornstarch instead
of arrowroot starch to help bind the flours?
If you can
tolerate arrowroot starch I would suggest trying that instead, gluten free products generally do better with a combination of flours / starches.
