Whether working with kids in the Art Nest, with teens in local schools, or with adults in workshops and visiting artist lectures, the goal is always the same: create a space where great things can happen.

James Dean Erickson, an artist whose paintings explore the space between realism and abstraction to elicit the ephemeral and enduring qualities of nature, will lead the Painting Traditional Subjects with Modern Material workshop and Simplicity and Synthesis lecture in February.

Our 750 sq. ft. exhibition space provides a blank slate for a wide variety of solo and group exhibitions and is fully equipped with LED lighting as well as A / V equipment for artist lectures and film screenings (including 30 folding chairs).

In this iteration of Videorover, we focused on process, collaboration, and engagement as we invited artists to stage workshops, lectures and events in NURTUREart's gallery space.

The events feature lectures and discussions, which explore various trajectories within the exhibition such as public spaces, autonomy of artistic practice, and community politics, with artists and curators Ho Rui An, Qinyi Lim, Godwin Koay, Samson Young, Shirley Surya, Eunice Seng of SKEW Collaborative, Ming Wong, and Wong Hoy - Cheong.

Seated in Kreuzberg, Decad hosts an active programme of artist talks and critical lectures; maintains a special library and archive for independent research; and organises the commissioning of temporary projects for public spaces in Berlin by international artists.

The gallery's yearly program, which includes not only art exhibitions but screenings, artist lectures, dance performances, music experimentation and community art - based projects, reflects both the flexibility of the space and the diverse interest of its creators.
