EXHIBITION Drawing attention to the personal and artistic connections of two important African American women artists, «The Art of Elizabeth Catlett: Selections from the Collection of Samella Lewis» at Museum of the African Diaspora in San Francisco opens on Jan. 16.

The artists included in this exhibition, including Josef Albers, Tauba Auerbach, Robert Barry, Amanda Means, and Kim Tschang - Yeul, have used many different strategies to draw attention to the act of perception and to encourage us to question the truth of our vision.

The exhibition focuses on this most saccharine hue in various media including: painting, sculpture, photography, video, drawing and assemblage by both established and emerging artists.

A selection of sculptures and drawings on loan from the artist and the Souls Grown Deep Foundation are featured in this solo exhibition.

Drawn from the holdings of the Isamu Noguchi Foundation and Garden Museum and curated in collaboration with the artist's last and most important dealers, Arne Glimcher and Susan Dunne of Pace Gallery, the exhibition addresses the artist's category - defying range as a world shaper.

This exhibition is the first US solo show by the Argentinian artist Victoria Colmegna (b. 1986), and will comprise a series of vitrines filled with drawings done in the style of the YA series Sweet Valley High.

The exhibition features the artist's early drawings, showing his struggle with understanding what portraiture might mean in a modern world of racial complexity.

The first major museum exhibition to explore graphite as a medium in works beyond drawings, Graphite includes sculpture, drawing, and installation works created over the past decade — including several newly commissioned works — by emerging and established contemporary artists.

The exhibition presented a group of five walls drawn from prior exhibitions including Christopher Williams: The Production Line of Happiness, the artist's first major museum survey which travelled from The Art Institute of Chicago to The Museum of Modern Art in New York and London's Whitechapel Gallery in 2014 - 2015.

Pace is honored to present an exhibition of recent iPad prints, charcoal drawings and video by David Hockney, one of the most important and celebrated living artists in the world.

The exhibition presents around 50 artistic approaches, illustrating the network of links between journalism and art, and the ways in which artists draw on media for their creative production.

Situating itself within current art historical and political debates, the exhibition considers work by self - taught, spiritually inspired and incarcerated artists, alongside other projects based in performance, socially engaged practice and the archive, as well as painting, drawing, sculpture and assemblage, that make insistent reference to place.

In October 2012, to coincide with the opening of Marlborough Contemporary, a major exhibition of work by Frank Auerbach, Next Door, featured for the first time more than forty preparatory drawings to accompany the new paintings, offering a unique insight into the artist's working methods.

Featuring nearly one hundred works from the artist's most innovative years, the exhibition examines how drawing played a major role in Dubuffet's development as he explored on paper new subjects and techniques and experimented with non-traditional tools and modes of application.

The exhibition includes Simmons's first chalk drawings on blackboards done in the artist's «erasure» technique along with sculptures, paintings, photographs and a 1992 wall drawing not seen since it's first presentation at the Drawing drawing not seen since it's first presentation at the Drawing Drawing Center.
