If you're a newbie to Bushwick, you should brace yourself for hundreds of
artists opening their
studios to the public for a weekend, which is accompanied by various festivities and neighborhood - wide merriments such as block parties, crazy performance art
events and different art exhibitions.
In addition to monthly
studio hours,
artists are expected to help at Smack Mellon's benefit the first weekend in May and make themselves available for
studio visits with school groups and other tour groups outside of
Open Studio event hours.

open meetings were held by the
artists and volunteers involved in the 2006 B.O.S. and out of these meetings, Arts in Bushwick was founded in order to organize the 2007 B.O.S.
