I really like it better
as a cheese than the
daiya cheeder cheese shreds.
It took me at least a couple of hours to make this
as I made the sauce and cheese myself (normally I cheat and buy jarred sauce & sprinkle on some
daiya on it).

as well
as most natural food retailers.
As you know I don't like
Daiya so I bought some of the Follow Your Heart cheese for Reno's birthday party where I made pizza's.
As for the cheese, Georgia has a mozzarella style that she makes sometimes (still perfecting it) but also often uses
Daiya brand mozarella shreds which work very well for this dish.
Cafe Pyrus has
Daiya as well
as other vegan dairy alternatives like Caesar salads and creamy soups, all delicious.
It's easy to veganize quesadillas simply by using vegan cheese (my favorite is
Daiya shreds,
as they melt so very nicely — any variety, though the spicy pepper jack is particularly good for this purpose).
Daiya vegan cheese is ideal for anyone who is allergic to dairy, soy, or nuts,
as it contains none of these ingredients!
As a new vegan, non-dairy cheeses didn't do much for me but after a few months of having little bits here and there, the flavour of
Daiya really began to grow on me.
I am lactose intolerant
as well and the best substitute cheese I have found is
Daiya.

Daiya cheese yet but I should
as I am trying to be dairy free

as gluten free.
(I'm not big on cheese in general,
as you know, so I never did get around to giving
Daiya a try before this.)
The only thing to keep in mind is that
Daiya cheese offers a moderate amount of sodium per serving (250 milligrams per ounce, approximately fifty percent more than the same amount of cheddar cheese) and significantly less protein than dairy or soy - based cheeses (1 to 1.5 grams per ounce,
as opposed to 7 grams).

I followed the recipe exactly, aside from the fact that I used dairy - free alternatives (earth balance butter (use less), and

With
Daiya or Follow Your Heart vegan cheeses, it's just
as good
as any dairy version.
My plain pepperoni and
Daiya cheese pizza was not
as exciting
as the one loaded up with Papa Murphy's fresh toppings.
