There might be other
farming simulators out there with realism
as their main priority with top notch visuals and rich sound effects.
It is a problematic thing
as that means many are just likely to start up their favourite Harvest Moon game instead of this if they want a
farming simulator, and just about any of the hundreds of other JRPG titles if that is what they desire to play.
This means that both the
farming simulation parts,
as well
as the role - playing ones feel weak compared to the rest in the genre, leaving JRPG fans with a hunger for something meatier, and
farming simulator fans with a hunger for a more focused
farming game.
Taking inspiration from a mix of JRP's such
as Final Fantasy and classic
simulator Harvest Moon, Deiland is a single player fantasy RPG sandbox with elements of
farming, building, crafting and questing.
As someone who loved Stardew Valley when the game first came out, but lost touch with the game, the prospect of being able to play Chucklefish's
farming simulator wherever I want, is very appealing.
