Now the new E-Class has moved on to its fifth generation and is for the first it is being sold
as a LWB.
Be smart, brave and use Gibbs
as LWB and Campbell as RWB with Coquelin, Ozil and Ramsey and for F$ CK sake put two strikers, Sanchez and Giroud because they are so different but passing between them is very common if you look at the stats.
We can use Bellerin
as LWB just like Azpilicueta used to play as LB under Jose at Chelsea for Couple of Seasons....
if from our current squad then maybe if we keep Ox
as LWB (though I prefer him over Belerin at RWB) then Kolasinac could go to left of midfield?
Put Holding, Mertesacker and Mustafi at Back who will add some Solidity in defense... indecisiveness of Monreal lead to Stoke Goal... Back line could have been easily Mustafi, Mertesacker and Holding with Ox at RWB and Kolasinac
as LWB... Another point is here Ozil was totally underperformed... He was also ineffective against Leicester... Why Iwobi wasn't included in team instead of Ozil??
Sadly there are multiple major issues to address with Arsene being by far the biggest one, but since I've talked enough about him, I'll only mention the fact we played the Ox and moved Bellerin
as a LWB, when we do have Kolasinac, and we knew the Ox was leaving.
Gabriel can leave to Valencia, Chambers can go on loan, Holding can wait for his turn, Mertesacker can monitor them, Monreal should play
as LWB and not LCB.
OP also has Monreal for LWB, Wenger has said he thinks Monreal is suited to the left side of the back 3 and is sounding like Wenger will use Seo and Gibbs
as LWB, or if Gibbs is sold then I would bet on a new signing to replace Gibbs.
He did play for a brief period at the end of the year
as a LWB, made the wrong choice when he got forward but is that signs of Wenger thinking about converting a player we already have as a CM into a LWB?
If we get Aubameyang then it will fantastic Transfer window for us... We can have some heavyweights starting at the same time... With Ramsey and Wilshere can play as CM... Bellerin as RWB and Kolasinac
as LWB... Mkhitaryan ahead of Ramsey and Wilshere behind 2 hitman Lacazzate and Aubameyang...
I am eager to see AMN in CM however we can not ignore how well he has done as a WingBack, yes he has made a couple mistakes BUT he has looked better
as a LWB than Bellerin has a RWB.
Conclusion: Out of 11 players for 5 positions only 5 were physically ready and the only solid option was to play Holding Monreal and Kola and Bell as RWB and Ox
as LWB or vice versa, or the other option would be to play a not so fit Mustafi but then we couldnt have given them a fight for it if had been necessary..
Despite man city spending over 200m pounds in d summer, just two injuries, they r playing a midfielder
as a lwb and mangala is their defensive cover u guys should just stop moaning,, i think arsenal still have cover this season, a striking trio of welbeck, giroud and walcot can hold their own, a midfield duo of Wilshire and elneny can hold their own, we might be light in defence buh not as terrible as u guys r exaggerating it, trsnsfer window is over let's support d guys
But we might as well stick
him as LWB although we have 2 good players there.
I think Holding should have at least made the bench and Mert started instead of Monreal, I mean why did we buy Kolasinac as a replacement for Gibbs if we don't use
him as LWB?
But Wenger has played Ozil on left, Ramsey on right, Theo up front as striker, Flamini as LB, Adelaide
as LWB, Nelson as RWB.
I agree with your roster but I would like Monreal
as LWB and Kolasinac as CD.
I feel playing laca ozil and sachez woyld still be our nest front 3 and possible kolasnic as LB and welbank
as LWB
ie playing a LB as a CB or LB
as lwb or he used to play Ozil on the left.
I think Mustafi, Koscielny, Kolsanic would be an awesome Three man defense with Bellerin as RWB and Monreal
as LWB
The big injury list means we are doomed, but I agree with your selection, except I would put Monreal
as LWB:
Not exact matches
Yes Monreal and Kolasinac can play
as CB but I would rather they fight for the
LWB role.
We played 2 LB
as CB when they are both really good in the
LWB position.
Kolsanic should be CB (L) Monreal should be
LWB Monreal is not very good
as a CB.
AMN - FFS just play this boy in his natural position and give him a run of games. He looks a great prospect but what good does it do to the player who has played TWO games this season
as a CDM and the rest
as either RB LB RWB
LWB.
Why play Monreal and Sead
as CD when they are both
LWB?
He also plays players in wrong position ie Oxlade (when he was here) on
LWB, Niles LW, Nelson RWB, Eleny
as CB etc etc throughout the season.
1) On the pitch: - we always start 3 -4-3 but always switch back to a back 4... it isn't tactical
as we look bad in both - Bellerin playibg
LWB when you have the best in the bundesliga last season on the bench - Welbeck playing the striker role when he can do everything but score when you have Lacazette a record signing on the - Monreal in back 3 when you have Kostafi who can flank Per in the middle protecting him against pace
as well
as having a commending figure and - Telling Xhaka to not play
as a 3rd offensive player when Ramsey dashes - Playing a guy in Ox so out of position and persisting with him over preseason
as if he would be there for years when it is clear he doesn't want to play for us (his case is a weird one)
Sanchez
as striker with Lacazette behind him, Bellerin at
LWB, Maitland - Niles at RWB and Ozil on the right.
The gross mismanagement of Arsenal during June - Aug of this year is currently my feature case
as a prototype of the worst possible bungling of personnel resources and mis - assignment of employee resources to roles (
as just a few of many possible examples, sitting Kola & Laca last match, starting Welbeck who couldn't hit the broad side of a barn, playing Bellerin at
LWB, third straight laughable team assignments in a row, seriously considering loaning out our 2nd best center back, letting multiple key players enter the final year of contract, etc etc etc) imaginable.
So, basically your argument is that our
LWB should create
as many chances
as Hazard is supposed to?
My though would have been to slot him into
LWB / LB
as a Gibbs replacement, from his time at Sporting his highlights are mostly beating a player on the wing and delivering a good cross or pass into the box.
In the midfield, (including RWB &
LWB) we have a whole bunch of tweeners... none offer the full package, none make sense in our manager's current favourite formation, except for Sead on the left and Ox on the right, and all of them have never shown any consistency for more than a heartbeat... Sead, who I'm including in this category because of our present formation, looks like a positive addition, minus his occasional brain farts, but I would rather see what he could do in a back 4 before making my mind up... Ox, who has never played better, which isn't saying much considering his largely underwhelming play in previous seasons, seems to have found a home in this new formation; unfortunately, can we really expect this oft - injured player to handle the taxing duties that come with said position over the long haul, not to mention, it looks like he has no intention of staying... Ramsey has relied on the empathy that stems from his gruesome injury years ago and the excitement that was generated a few years back when he finally seemed to put in altogether, but on the whole he has been a big disappointment (neither he nor the Ox have scored enough to warrant a regular spot)... Wiltshire should be put on a weekly contract then played until he suffers his first injury, if and when that occurs he should be shipped - out and no one should very be allowed to say his name on club grounds ever again... Elnehy & Coq are average players who couldn't make any of the top 7 teams currently in the EPL... both have showed some great energy on the pitch, but neither are top quality and no good team can afford to have that many average players on their bench playing the same position, especially with Coq's injury history / discipline concerns and Elheny's headless chicken tendencies...
as for Xhaka, his tenure here so far has been incredibly underwhelming... we know he has some skills to provide the long ball but his defensive work is piss poor and he gives the ball away too cheaply and far too often... finally, the enigma himself, Ozil, so much skill with his left foot but his presence has been more frustrating than uplifting... in many respects his failure has been directly related to the failure of this club to provide him with the necessary players up front, minus Sanchez of course, and unless something drastic happens very soon his legacy will be largely a negative one (much like Wenger's)
3 fears over this area though, 1 is Monreal... if we get a new LB /
LWB then we will only need Gibbs
as backup which frees up Monreal.
Our 3 back is just so wrong. We don't have natural wingbacks even in this formation. It also seems to me that lots of people here believe if you're good at right or left fullback then automatically you're good at RWB /
LWB which quite frankly is untrue. That's why Oxlade Chamberlain can be considered at RWB but not right back.At RWB or
LWB you're asking too much in terms of attack from Bellerin and Kolasinac.A proper wing back can be viewed
as a more defensive winger which quite frankly none of them are and they don't possess the flexibility too to play that way.Our midfielders are also not disciplined enough because in 3 back there's a huge gap in the centre of the field that must be covered by our CM's so indiscipline only means disaster. We also have Ozil who looks like he's playing at RW in 3 back.In that we're limiting his impact because Ozil takes on his man because he wants to not because he likes to.You can't play such players at the wing. He's a proper No. 10 who likes to be given freedom. That's why Ozil plays likes he's lazy on the ball and stuff. It's because he wants to be free and for that you need to put him at No. 10.
Lemar can play
as a LM, CAM and even a bit deeper
as a CM or
LWB.
Well wenger cant spot it even though you can is because he is being reasonable and you are just craving for new signings like a lil baby lets look at our cbs: Kos — World class — suspended Mustafi — Very good / potentially world class — not fit Mert — Very good and a leader — injured Gabriel — Good but i do nt like him that much, but better than Kos was at the beginning - injured Holding — Good and very talented — played Chambers — Good and talented — not fit at all Monreal — Very good and solid (CB or LB)-- played Kolasinac — Very good / good
as CB — played Bellerin — RB or RWB — played Ox — RWB or
LWB — played
The result of AMN playing
LWB / LB has been the simple fact that he has gotten gametime when he wouldn't have
as a CM.
Do nt start Xhaka, Iwobi and Eleny please Maybe try Kolsanic
as DM or
LWB Kolsanic is too good to be on the bench
Oxlade was starting matches on the left
as either
LWB or LW.
But this season he has played 3 at the back when 4 was more suitable, relied to heavily on Xhaka, played Monreal
as CB (he did admirably though), Adelaide at
LWB, Nelson at RWB, started Welbeck over both Lacazette and Giroud against Liverpool WTF?
Hell, lets play 3 at the back Xhaka, Eleny
as CB, Adelaide at
LWB, Nelson at RWB and Iwobi LOL???.
And
as mentionned above instead of playing the bundesliga
LWB of the year in Kolasinac you are destroying one of our best prospect in years since Ashley Cole in Bellerin.
And I took the Ox from the right wing back to play left wing back while I brought in Bellerin to play right wing back to give potency to Arsenal midfield attacking prowess and confuse Spurs markings in the game
as the Ox is switched to
LWB.
Welbeck starting, Monreal
as the middle CB, and Bellerin at
LWB!
Here is my thoughts of the team
as it is currently Keeper - Cech, Ospina CBs - Holding, Chambers, Mustafi, Per, Nacho, Boss RWB - Bellerin, Debuchy
LWB - Kolasinac, Campbell Midfield - Coq, Wilshere, Ramsey, Xhaka, ELneny, Santi Left Wing - Sanchez, Perez Right Wing - Ozil, Walcott Striker - Lacazette, Giroud, Welbeck That «s 25 senior players Have n`t included OX for obvious reasons
6 CB, don't need anymore this year, we need those players to perform and for Wenger to not screw them over by playing 2
LWB as CBs.
Niles showed he can tackle while playing
LWB / LB and can be our own kante if paired with ramsey or wilshere
as he has shown himself to have the necessary discipline to know when to push forward or stay back.
