As long
as Ox still has something in the tank he has earned the start.
Not exact matches
Just more dead cat talk that distracts from wenger's failure to upgrade by getting rid of average players who we all know can't deliver trophies even in a weak year... And EPL and cl were both that last year... Walcott Campbell Gibbs
ox and mert should all have gone by now... Draxler Rodriguez subotic (there are better though) could have come in
as all are actually available with a net spend of very little... Then focus on goal scorer and splash the cash... Would
still go for for the borrusia guy but if wenger shows no intent nothing will happen
In the injury update on the Arsenal website, the Frenchman revealed that
as well
as Debuchy, Welbeck and the
Ox still being short of fitness, there is a doubt about our central defender Laurent Koscielny.
The
OX is
still an Arsenal player (quickly checks to confirm) and
as far
as I'm aware he's not injured, so I wonder why his name wasn't even mentioned in the article?
They have other good forwards Rooney, Martial, Depay, Rashford; Bony, Nolito, Sane, Nasri, Sterling We have 1 top winger in Alexis and average forwards in Theo,
Ox, Akpom, Sanogo (Campbell was good but we got rid of him) For Chelsea: Costa isn't
as good
as Zlatan / Aguero but
still capable of 20 goals and has good support in Hazard, Batshuayi, Cuadrado, Pedro, Willain, Remy
I am
still very high on Nylander and that leaves Rhino and
OX as my only two other top 6 wingers with my thought process being
OX down on the 3rd line once we get more talent.
obviously I would prefer to have a much more suitable alternative in the defensive midfielder positions but if they focused more on defensive end and the occasional long - ball, this would allow Bellerin and Sead ample opportunities to bomb forward on their respective wings while
still having enough cover to maintain their defensive shape... it would likewise allow for overlapping runs on both wings, thereby letting both Sanchez and Perez to cut inside and get shots away in and around the top of the box with their most dominant feet... if goals were needed I would sub Bellerin for
OX and bring Ramsey in for Elneny then switch to a 3 -2-4-1 (more of a 3 -1-5-1 with Ramsey playing higher up the pitch) and I would only use Giroud
as a sub when the game dictated it for tactical reasons... this would allow us to be a high energy team with incredible link - up play and a much more direct approach in the offensive end
Look, even if Vela played
as well for us
as he has in La Liga this year, he would
still be sitting on the bench behind Sanchez, Walcott, and
Ox.
I only wish to focus on those who can play in the CF position (
as that's what everyone's getting bent out of shape about) but it is clear we have wide players who can score and we have players who can do so from midfield, some of whom are
still developing — like Wilshere, Ramsay, the
Ox — and from whom most of expect to see more and more this season.
Generally agree —
Ox good, but
still no end product, Welbeck — good effort, sorry but not enough if we want to win things, Xhaka needs protection of a good CDM, Özil a luxury we can't currently afford, Ramsey good if we again had someone filling the midfield behind him — We just need a great CDM (
as per the previous 7 + years) to give us a solid platform we desperately need.
Gibbs can leave
as he is getting on but
Ox is
still fairly young.
As for the
Ox, everyone is convinced that he will be
still at Arsenal next season, with 1/4 the biggest price you can get, although Liverpool are priced between 5/2 and 9/2.
Ox — until this year I would have said he was another Wenger failed project... that being said, he
still only showed us some inklings of the things we thought he would start bringing a couple of years ago... liked his role
as a wing - back in the 3 - back system but his moping around and general demeanor about not being sure if he liked this new role was a little off - putting considering how long we have waited for him to show up... I wouldn't hesitate to sell if the right number was offered but probably not to a top 8 team
It's amazing to think that the
Ox is
still only 23, it seems
as if he's been around for
as long
as Wenger has lol?
I know there's no wingers in this team but I believe theo can do well with a partner through the middle,
Ox's future is at CM / CAM so he can
still be an influence off the bench in this system, Podolski is a CF so he would flourish playing off a partner like Giroud or Sanchez
as St, Ozil also playing
as CAM which we all want, he's got guys behind him who'll make runs into the box and also pacey strikers upfront to pick a perfect pass which he does best
Ill give Theo an injury related pass and the
OX is
still very young but
as some point you have 2 start asking?
walcott campbell
ox are average players at best and ramsey is out of position there and less than average
as a winger... mahrez would be a big step up and i doubt we would have to pay 45... anyway selling two of those would rake most of it back... to be honest i would be happy (and shocked) with mahrez and icardi though
still prefer the draxler option... having watched what guardiola has done with man city reserve team against bayern reserves yday wenger would be crazier than i thought if he believes he has a squad to compete in the coming epl / cl
Ox is getting better at going past people, he
still needs to learn the defensive side and being out on the wing rather than playing
as a CM allows for that development.
I am not having a go at him (
as an off form Alexis is
still better than most of our players), my point is merely that we know what to expect from the likes of Ramsey, Walcott,
Ox, etc..
Campbell is good but
still not at the same level
as the
Ox, Walcott, Poldi yet — he need to be patient.
The sad truth is that we are just a couple of players away from having a very strong starting 11... Wenger's fixation with Walcott and mertesakher
as starting players remains a mystery to me... neither have the quality of a top team like arsenal... I am not a giroud hater but he is
still too inconsistent and the big question is whether welbeck can push him in a way Walcott won't... Campbell has done well and has moved ahead of Walcott and,
ox for sure but there is
still a question about how much more he can improve... Elneny is certainly an upgrade over arteta and flamini whether he will make it I don't know just hope that he does but arguably wenger could have been more ambitious... That leaves a top quality striking option... There is no doubt that wenger deluded himself over the summer and that needs to be corrected ASAP... Draxler dybala aube and even griezman with a big enough big could have been prized in summer... january not a good time for this but it is not difficult to find better options than Walcott
ox or Campbell... All a question of whether wenger wants to win EPL on his terms or wants to win this for the club
Ppl keep on saying
ox and Wilshire are
still young and should be patient with them, but guess what, ozil kroos khedira muller hummels boeteng iniesta xavi cazorla fabregas mata busquets alaba etc were already established players for top club the same age
as ox.
# 30mil plus
Ox (
as example) would be an example of a reduced transfer fee and
still giving a value of over # 45mil which you used
as the cut off.
If he had signed Kante, AW will
still sub him off when chasing a game expecting a tiring
Ox or inexperienced Iwobi to pull a shift
as a makeshift DM for 20 - 30 minutes.
That being said, I think the
Ox's early poor form was down to him
still getting his game legs back
as he was recovering from the injury that took him out of the WC.
Arsenal won't sign Mahrez, we have d speedstar Walcott, we Have Iwobi,
Ox, Alexis, Perez even Ramsey plays
as a Winger for Arsenal... according to Wenger signing a world class winger we prevent our players from developing, Theo is
still developing..
As much as I love Ox, he still has a way to go in regards to his finishin
As much
as I love Ox, he still has a way to go in regards to his finishin
as I love
Ox, he
still has a way to go in regards to his finishing.
But
as hopeful
as I am that the worst is behind them, Ramsey,
Ox's hamstrings, Theo's ACL and Wilshere's ankles are worrying... I feel dirty saying it and I'd seriously consider a pledge of celibacy for this coming season if it'd help, but
still, the odds really aren't in our favour for all those players remaining healthy over the entirety of next season At the moment, personally I can only really see an ever so slight vacancy for potentially one or maybe two young attackers to have an impact role.
He gave 10 plus years of opportunities to the likes of walcott, same
as gibbs, 8 to ramsey and wilshere and 6 to
Ox but
still not up to the calibre expected but a guy who is humble and show us his qualities asked to leave.
1) GK — better 2) LB — same, possibly better if Gibbs improves, Monreal has plateaued 3) RB — better
as Bellerin will only improve 4) CB first pairing — same,
as the BFG is getting older but he can't get shorter or slower, 5) CB second pairing — better since we didn't have a pair last year 6) DM — better
as Arteta is now back up and Coquelin should get even better 7) Box to box — better if you think Ramsey and Wilshire
still have room to improve and are
still being kept out by Carloza 8) LW — better, Sanchez might not get too much better but Welbeck is an improvement on Podolski 9) RW — same if Theo moves up front but
Ox and Gnabry have lots of room to improve 10) CAM — same 11) Striker — better
as Giroud / Theo is stronger than Giroud / Sanogo
I truly hope so We will need him
as we are
still in all 4 competitions However, Alexis, Iwobi, Theo and
Ox have all been playing well so competition is fierce this season.
Ox (Maybe loan out
as he is
still young but I think we could get a good price for him
as he is English and we could just get a youngster through for HG quota)
It has been a frustrating few years for all concerned and despite
still having plenty of time
as he is just 22 - years old, the
Ox seems to have let his struggles get to him and damage his confidence, which has then in turn affected his form.
Bendtner or Chamakh would
still have been considered average even if they scored 25goals because they had average talent. For all the potential Bendtner had he never maximised it so
as long asit wasn't developed he's
still average.I mean it's possoble for an average player to score 25 goals when given the chances and possible for a world class striker to score less than that.Quality is a talent which may be linked to stats but does not necessarily show on stats.Take
Ox for example, if you looked at his stats you might think he's average but he's not.Look at Lukaku, he's scored many goals for Everton yetmany people here think he's not gpod enough for Arsenal because they look at the quality and talent andnot just the goals.
the manegment is just making fools out of us monaco has sold 8 players till now including 5 of first team and they are
still going to sell mbappe and fabino but for us the doors are closes this itself shows our power
as a club if
ox wants to leave sell him and get draxler he is 10x better then
ox what i want our team to do is get draxler gelson martins seri and line up with laca sanchez draxler ozil gelson seri xhaka kolas mustafi boss cech
Welbeck can play all across the front 3 so he will be competition / cover for the wide players (out wide to help develop and moved in centrally when better but
still an option
as CF),
Ox can play out wide so he would also be comp.
as for
Ox playing instead of Walcott and Campbell I suppose the jury is
still out on that front,
Ox has done NOTHING to warrant a shirt before Campbell especially....
I think Hector could
still be used
as a wing back rotating with AOC, he has the pass, normally a good crossed into the box and obviously more defensive minded each year with
Ox.
Ox has FINALLY shown some improvement this season, and is young enough to
still fulfil his potential, but
as Arsenal fans, are we not fed up of «potential»?
I do like the direct and dynamic style of the
Ox and he does tend to make things happen but I
still see him
as more of an impact sub.
He's
still very young got bags of potential just I don't see him
as a centre forward so his position is a wide forward where we have lots of options welbeck, Alexis, Walcott the
ox who are all in front of him then there's Gnabry and quite a few others who can play there.
I feel we have a kid who could do the role just
as well, M - Niles has played at RB, RM and CM... Built like a brick sh*t house and fast... Even if the
Ox suffers one of his injuries then we would
still have a viable backup in a homegrown youth product, perfect for me.
Very possible indeed but we need to improve particularly on picking up runners that run in from the middle but
as the
Ox said the whole 25 man squad most contribute well and be prepared to put in a good shift last year we were bullied by westham I was nervous through well until we started to register our attacks on the board there is
still a long way to go we need to keep our legs on the ground and push up together game by game well done Arsenal
Bench: Martinez, Monreal, Wilshere, Cazorla, Sanchez, Walcott,
Ox Still A strong lineup and gives the likes of Podolski, rosicky and campbell a runout
as well
as keeping our squad fresh for the champions league on tuesday.
Like yesterday was
as low
as it gets for me
as fan I didn't even care when Liverpool got 3 rd and fourth goals because we're dead our pride
as fans is same
as players we're just dead hurt, sad, weak and spineless then it gets better
ox is going Chelsea today and now timers sanchez has put in transfer request haha when board said change they meant it change
as in we're selling all players and we're going like Aston Villa laugh u mite we are rotten from top to da bottom and it will get better cause I bet by Thursday we will bring in nobody and promote young kids we mite chance van diik he's going for 60 million and by Thursday night sky sports will report arsenal came in with last min bid of 21 million for van diik it got flat out laughed at so at 1 min to 11 we came in again with bid of 27 million and add ons til 2029 its hard and it is only beginning haha
ox starts at anfield and was shambles and he is sold today says a lot about wenger if that was me I'd say stay away till ur sold u little traitor thanks
ox hope its worth it, loyalty me behind ahwell we
still bellerin another little man and heart holding for Barca ahhhh I'm so mad we need Simeon's cum in and start bouncing heads off da canvas Jesus bring bk George graham at least we have defence??
Nobody seems to be mentioning the damaging infighting going on between Wenger and the board, which appears to have lead to players who have performed well on the pitch, being benched for their unfit counterparts, or being put on loan (Joel Campbell, Lukas Perez, Shkodran Mustafi), not only leading to discontent in the squad, and on the pitch, but using millions of the much vaunted player salary limit, which
still doesn't make sense to me
as how come we were going to increase Ozil, Alexis and
Ox's salary by so much?
2nd sure Walcott has become a squad player and it doesn't look like it will change anytime soon! But even thought he is less important than he used to be thanks to some youth prospect finally stepping up (
Ox) and our new transfer policy ($ $ $) he
still has that pace and ability to score and create havoc after 1 to 1,5 year out your rusty but obviously if he's dead on a pay raise I wouldn't go
as far
as to say he's holding us ransom but it is too much considering he's current impact and importance to the squad... Sure we could argue that he will rediscover his form and give us 20 + goals a season and not sustain an injury anymore but how sure are we?
I've not said the
Ox or Ozil or Cazorla
as they all have said that they would like to play centraly, they are
still options though along with Welbeck.
Cech is good but losing it, not a sure and securing keeper... Would let half of this team go for free if not able to sell them, not at end of contract; they will
still leave free... Then build a real team... Goal keeper, CD, CM... Sell
OX, Ozil & Sanchez, Ramsey, Will chair, welbeck
as we
still can, Giroud... Not at end of window when no more players are left, but from top of window... Common sense Wenger totally lost since leaving highbury, saving money
as if it is his, said it too... Wenger ruins players.
Santi Carzola is
still being played
as a winger who never stays at wings, even with the
Ox and Campbell on the bench.
