It's important to point out that if there is an infection or overgrowth present, such
as SIBO, Candida, or a parasite, then that should be addressed as well.
Ruling out SIBO may be important
as SIBO could be misdiagnosed as an acute flare - up of the Crohn's disease itself.
However this can be only a temporary measure
as SIBO tends to reoccur if the root causes are not addressed.
After a course of antibiotics I developed what I now think
as SIBO, I would get a sore abdomen after eating starches or refined sugars.
A cascade of factors from stress to diet can slow mobility in the gut and throw the harmony of its microbiome off key, spurning the overgrowth of unhealthy strains of bacteria; this is known
as SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), or, more commonly, leaky gut.

So, of course these things can cause similar symptoms
as SIBO and they can create toxic low because of the how it disrupts toxicity, how it disrupts uhm — digestion.
Are many IBS cases coming back

A specific herbal antimicrobial protocal has been studied by researchers at John's Hopkins University, and found to be equally
as effective
as using antibiotics to resolve
SIBO symptoms (Chedid et al., 2014).
