This challenge will be to
eliminate all processed sugars (we're going really strict and even cutting out
natural sweeteners)
as well
as dairy and processed foods.
There are three main reasons sugar has proven to be the hardest to
eliminate: firstly, sugar is an ingredient in many foods that are not necessarily sweet (vegan mayo, breads, crackers, prepared foods); second,
as a chef I find
natural sweeteners to be an essential flavor component to most sauces, dressings, and other recipes; and third, I really miss chocolate.
