The project will be Akiva Goldsman's (THE DA VINCI CODE) directorial debut, and it will feature Jessica Brown Findlay (ALBATROSS), as well
as a strong supporting cast, including Russell Crowe and Will Smith.
Robert Rossen adapted the Jack London story and provided juicy material for all these stars as well
as a strong supporting cast, led by Barry Fitzgerald, Gene Lockhart, Stanley Ridges, and a young Howard Da Silva.

as any release this year, but Bird's track record at the box office and with critics (see sidebar) bodes well for his latest,

strong supporting cast of Hugh Laurie, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, and Keegan - Michael Key.
Plenty of
strong support is offered by a
cast of dozens, including Broadway heartthrob Aaron Tveit

strongest female performances threaten convention, the one that says females are usually
cast as supporting, loving, noble characters who give of themselves in the service of the male lead.
Billy Bob Thornton is Billy and there's no doubt that this is his vehicle, with McBride a completely likable mess who gains your confidence immediately, but the show sports a
strong female
supporting cast as well, including Maria Bello, Molly Parker, and Nina Arianda.
The
supporting cast is very
strong, too, so even up against such a full and filling performance
as Moore's, the actors don't back down or turn in weak work.
We have mixed feelings about the trailers, but that said, we'd still take Gore Verbinski over most of the tentpole helmers out there, and the
cast supporting Depp — which includes Armie Hammer
as the Ranger, Tom Wilkinson, Ruth Wilson, Helena Bonham - Carter, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper and James Badge Dale — is a
strong one.
Among the
strong but woefully underused
supporting cast are William H. Macy
as Mick's best friend, a private investigator; Bryan Cranston
as a homicide detective whose screen time looks suspiciously truncated; and Michael Pena
as a former client of Mick's whose case will become crucial later on.
Martin does a good job in front of the camera
as well — which isn't surprising since the screenplay caters to his comic persona — but he's aware of his limits
as an actor and has wisely surrounded himself with a
strong supporting cast.
Bolstered by a
strong supporting cast of older comedy actors (Thomas Hayden Church and Lisa Kudrow appear
as teachers), she takes what could have been tricky subject matter and instead creates a mature dialogue about American teenage relationships.
She is
supported by a
strong cast that includes Charlize Theron
as the corporate bigwig driving the mission, Guy Pearce
as the aging benefactor and Idris Elba
as the overly cliched but still enjoyable pilot.
The
cast is terrific: Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt play the hapless parents whose bargain dream home turns out to be a haunted death trap, with
strong support from their onscreen offspring, especially Kyle Catlett
as nervy middle child Griffin.
In addition to Branagh, the
supporting cast is excellent, with an especially
strong performance by Cynthia Nixon in capturing the spirit of Eleanor Roosevelt, and her decisions to stand by her man despite being free to do
as she pleases.
Even with the
strong supporting cast, there is no mistaking this
as anything other than a film that belongs to Mr. Redmayne and Ms. Vikander.
And it's Chastain
as the unpredictable, but ultimately human, Sloane who keeps you in the game, along with the solid
supporting cast of Mark
Strong, John Lithgow, Sam Waterston and Gugu Mbatha - Raw («Concussion»).
Chris Cooper
as Tom Smith fits like a glove, and
supporting cast is
strong as well.
Deneuve and Amalric are
supported by a
strong cast, most notably Jean - Paul Roussillon who is excellent
as Junon's lifelong love Abel.
The
strongest moments are when slapstick recalls the antics of Wallace & Gromit, but the script's packed with quips, ably delivered not just by the inspired parental pairing of Hugh Bonneville and Sally Hawkins (their kids are thinly written,
as stroppy or awestruck; Julie Walters» housekeeper is part Mrs Doubtfire, part Mrs Overall) but also by a sterling
supporting cast culled from Peep Show, Spy and Sightseers by ex-Mighty Boosh director Paul King.
Director Tom Hooper («The King's Speech,» «Les Misérables») also elicits
strong work from his
supporting cast: Ben Whishaw
as Lili's would - be suitor, Matthias Schoenaerts
as a loyal friend to Lili and Gerda and Sebastian Koch
as a groundbreaking doctor who tries to help Lili.
But it doesn't have the cadence and impact of Sorkin's dialogue and the lines it feeds Chastain and her veteran
supporting cast — which includes such experienced actors
as Mark

The two glittering stars are joined by Jimmy Stewart in an Oscar - winning role
as a reporter smitten with the heiress, Ruth Hussey
as his long - suffering photographer, and a
strong supporting cast.
«Frost / Nixon,» however, turns out to be formidably involving, and the reasons start not with expert costars Langella and Michael Sheen or their
strong supporting cast or even the skills of Howard, but with the gifts and vision of Morgan, who wrote the screenplay

supporting cast featuring Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Philip Seymour Hoffman (RIP) and Donald Sutherland among others.

as Chase's depiction of youth with inexperienced talent on his HBO show was stellar, but it also boasts a

as his aunt, Brad Garrett
as a composer / producer, and Chase's «Sopranos» leading man James Gandolfini, who apparently shines
as Magaro's father, «a postwar, post-Depression era parent who has given his kid every advantage that he didn't have growing up.»
Early word on Judd Apatow's comedic return,
as well the acting duo with THIS IS 40, has been pretty
strong as are the terrific
supporting cast of Jason Segel, Melissa McCarthy, Albert Brooks, John Lithgow, Lena Dunham, Megan Fox and Chris O'Dowd.
Ritchie attracted a
strong supporting cast, including Richard Libertini
as Fletch's beleaguered editor, Geena Davis
as Fletch's adoring co-worker, M. Emmet Walsh
as a befuddled doctor,
as well
as Kenneth Mars (Young Frankenstein), Joe Don Baker (GoldenEye), and William Sanderson (Blade Runner).
He gets
strong performances from both leads
as well
as supporting cast members Tom Hollander, playing Diana's twin brothers, and Hugh Bonneville
as Teddy Hall, the inventor whose device gives Robin mobility.
Add to that a
supporting cast full of veteran actors doing their usual shtick (Dominic West
as another two - dimensional asshole; Mark
Strong as another shifty, nefarious figure; etc.) and you have a
cast that can't muster up the conviction to be second - rate.

as a spectacular story, fantastic
supporting cast, beautiful cinematography, and a fun soundtrack.

Featuring a terrific
supporting cast, everyone brings their A-Game, but Bello
as the destroyed mother and Davis
as the matriarch who puts her faith in Dover, are especially
strong.
As you could have guessed, Leigh was the sole member of Hateful's
strong ensemble
cast to earn an Academy Award nomination, for one of the year's rare truly
supporting roles of note for women.
The
supporting cast is also quite
strong, especially Margo Marindale
as the nearly equally vicious mother Mattie Fae, and Chris Cooper (The Muppets, The Kingdom)
as Mattie Fae's long - suffering husband, Charlie, in a smaller role.

strong villain character that you just love to hate.
