as a support striker as well as, and more effectively than Hleb simply because the guy can shoot, and score (remember his dance around L'pool defense @ Anfield?

While there have been plenty of former Arsenal players, including the TV pundits Paul Merson and Thierry Henry,
as well
as every man and his dog with an opinion about Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, ready to jump on the bosses back and bemoan his failure or refusal to use the summer transfer window to sign another
striker, there are a few that have come out in
support of the under fire Frenchman.

support striker.
goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not been clinical. The only way a team can improve is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud
as the main cf and Welbeck
as backup to him.Giroud has done well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than good.Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games.
As a main cf you need to be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that because every player has his own style.Giroud limitations
as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not good enough. His style of play is ok for us but a
striker who can take on players and run behind defences very well would make us very strong and also should be clinical. For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront of goal too much. For now he is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always be a pain in arsenal's neck for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may
support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but
as the saying goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?
Look at our best games this season (Chelsea, Basil etc) and you will notice they were based on pace with Sanchez
as striker supported by two speedsters on the wings.

as a CF in a counter based offense or

support striker in a system with 2 forwards, but he is just a «tweener in a system with either 1 or 3 forwards.
We need better though but I'm in full 100 %
support of the purchase of Shkrodan Mustafi and Lucas Perez.Mustafi can help Koscielny now.I've been saying it here time and time again that it's not a world clsss
striker we have needed but a clinical finisher which we have lacked for several seasons and counting.Hopefully this guy puts Giroud where he belongs which is on the bench.Though a world class
striker is good what we have lacked is someone who puts the game to bed in clinical fashion but Arsene Wenger has listened to many people to the extent that if he can't get a world class
striker then he can get anyone. If Arsenal had a clinical finisher for some five seasons or so we coulda won the EPL then.Giroud has cost us matches and will continue to cost us matches.Giroud is half decent
as someone said here the last time.I expect Perez to be much better if he can take on his man and be clinical in front of goal.

striker, but

as wide forwards with great pace and bring Alexis into a
support striker's role?
I totally
support d idea of Walcott
as our main
striker.
Here's my take on Walcott; the typical English hype got to him and he over estimated his own abilities in recent seasons, wanting to play
as striker without first establishing himself
as a world class winger forgatting that even Henry, Ronaldo and even Messi had to first prove their undoubted abilities on the wing befroe going central, Wenger let him suit himself, he hit rock bottom when he wasn't even selected for the Euros and has finally decided to dust himself up and work his way back up, why cant we see that and just give him the necessary
support?
Up front we have a few world - class players surrounded by some serious pretenders... Sanchez is by far the most accomplished player in our attack but the controversy surrounding his contractual mishandling could see him go before the window closes or most definitely by season's end... obviously a mistake by both parties involved,
as Sanchez's exploits have never been more on display than in North London, but the club's irresponsible wage structure and lack of real intent have been the real undoing in this mess... Lacazette, who I think has some world - class skills
as a front man, will only be
as good
as the players and system around him, which is troubling due to our current roster and Wenger's love of sideways passing... Walcott should have been sold years ago, enough said, and Welbeck should never have been brought in from the get - go... both of these players have suffered numerous injuries over their respective careers and neither are good enough to overcome such difficulties: not to mention, they both are below average first - touch players, which should be the baseline test for any player coming to a Wenger - led Arsenal team... Perez should have been played wide left or never purchased at all; what a huge waste of time and money, which is ridiculous considering our penny pinching ways and the fact that fans had been clamoring for a real
striker for years... finally Giroud, the fact that he stills wears the jersey is a direct indictment of this club's failure to get things right... this isn't necessarily an attack on Giroud because I think he has some highly valued skills, but not for a team that has struggled to take their sideways soccer to the next level,
as his presence slows their game even more, combined with our average, at best, finishing skills... far too often those in charge have either settled or chosen half - measures and ultimately it is us that suffer because no matter what happens Wenger, Gazidis and Kroenke will always make more money whereas we will always be the ones paying for their mistakes... so every time someone suggests we should just shut - up and
support the team just think of all the sacrifices you've made along the way and simply reply... f *** off

Giroud does not deserve to lead the arsenal line next season. He should be replaced do u know why?It is because he is always going to miss a lot of chances and will cost us.people who
support him to lead the line have not studied his game clearly.every season he will continue to cost us.But at least i wont say he is useless or something. He is on the pitch and gives his all so he is useful. He is not clinical and not good at all.He is a
striker who is just above average but sometimes even performs below average in his 3 years over here.Be honest and say it
as it is.Some people use stats to constantly defend him yet if you watch him you will be shocked.Walcott can lead the line he has everything to.but
as i said he lacks the aggressiveness and physique to be the main man.that will go against him so many times.so its better for him to remain on the wings.Giroud does not deserve it.We all know that.
All what we need is a fine tune and we learnt that from 8 nil encounter I still believe we need a
striker and now we need a defender but even if we do nt get any I still will
support the Arsenal even though I know deep inside that MR wenger should have addressed the issue the weird thing is perhaps MR wenger addressed these issues by bringing in players from the academy such

I think the main problem with AMs on the wing is that they are reluctant to get in the penalty box, that's what makes Ramsey so effective, he is one of the only ones in midfield these days who has no pace but knows when to run in the box
as support (resulting in goals, freeing up the
striker, or just getting an awkward defensive position to take advantage of.
boy just when I thought we had learnt our lessons. If he even decides to buy Draxler and places him on the wing and does not go for a

striker as of right and if neither of Walcott or Podolski steps up i now
support Wenger going in the market come January for a
striker.Either way i think it is a point gained.
