My favourite
nut butter is
almond butter and I include so many other
nuts into my recipes so don't really feel the need for peanuts
as well
as they aren't very high in nutrients.
The pecans help with the texture so I would recommend you replace them with another
nut such
as almonds if you don't want to use pecans although this will alter the taste!

And for smoothies yes thats all I have for breakfast, I make big ones though, normally with two bananas
as the base and then lots of other fruit, some spinach or kale, dates and then a mixture of some
nuts / seeds / super-foods, either chia seeds, ground flaxseeds, hemp protein, spirulina, maca, oats,
almond butter etc..

almond crops are currently responsible for making the current extreme draught conditions even worse because they are such a water - intensive crop in an area that does not naturally have sufficient water supply, so please consider using other
nuts and seeds instead,
as CA is currently the only major source of
almonds in the world (if you're able to find a small, local / non-CA supplier, wonderful!).
Sometimes I use a peanut butter instead of cashew, or a packet of mixed
nuts instead of
almonds and it's just
as delicious!
I understand if it doesn't work for you though in my recipes I often use it for the specific sweetness or stickiness, so sometimes

We use pecans, cashews,
almonds, and peanuts (technically a legume, not a
nut)
as part of our core ingredients.
However, if you have diabetes / pre-diabetes and you are including bananas
as part of a whole meal then I would just balance them with some healthy fat (avocados,
nuts, etc.) You could have a banana on top of a piece of sprouted whole grain toast with some
almond butter and that would be a good option.

I'm temped to say that the amount of mixture this makes can handle up to 2.5 cups of
nuts,
as I managed to sneak in some slivered
almonds (which did coat wonderfully) and had about 2.25 cups with lots of leftover crumbs.
