Influential
education advocates have denounced the House and Senate proposals to
reform the testing and accountability requirements of No Child Left Behind
as a «
retreat» from the expanded, post-NCLB federal role.
While that approach may be of value, I think it's far more important to consider the stories that,
as far
as I can tell,
education reporters are not telling, chief among them being the faux
retreat from «school
reform» by its staunch supporters.
