Started the day with a nice buffet breakfast with a lot of traditional Jamaican food such
as coconut bread, Ackee and Saltfish and the regular sausages, omelette, potatoes and a wide spread of other typical buffet dishes.

bread is great toasted and served with jam, nutella, peanut butter, butter, honey, ricotta, banana slices, mashed banana, melted chocolate, desiccated
coconut,
coconut cream, ok you get the picture.
But combined with garlic powder to counteract the flavor of the
coconut, it's awesome for
breading chicken and using
as a binder for zucchini cakes, meatballs, etc..
I stockpile over-ripe, frozen bananas in my freezer (I think that's a form of enabling) just so that I can bake banana
bread whenever the mood strikes me,
as it did the moment I read about this sugar - topped
coconut version.
I make this
bread all the time, with butter instead of
coconut oil and no honey,
as I don't think it is necessary.
Most any Paleo
bread will work in this, you just have to make sure that it's using almond flour or
coconut flour instead of all - purpose flour,
as this will take care of any grain concerns and will allow you to have this the traditional way.

I whip up this
bread a few days after finishing a
coconut «fast»
as I don't want to re-introduce wheat into my system.
On a day - to - day basis, use
coconut oil
as a spread on your toasted whole - grain
bread, an add - in to your smoothie, or
as the grease for your cooked vegetables.
So traditionally a nut roast contains either breadcrumbs or rice (sometimes even both) and I could well have cooked up a good loaf of Paleo Granary
Bread just for this dish but I opted for some
coconut flour instead
as it helps to retain moisture, and has that sweet,

I just made yourr carrot banana
bread recipe, the recipe called for ginger but didn't say fresh or powdered so I grated fresh, also the recipe saod to mix the flour, baking powder and things togethwr but said to sift them all together and I wasn't sure if you meany sift the
coconut and nuts too so I jist miced everything together without sifting, if it doesn't rise
as high I will know for next time

I have not used this with
coconut or almond flour
as i am just looking into going GF but have used it in making
breads and using it
as a base to coat chicken and what not before dipping it in flour to fry it and it has worked well for those.
I added a little
coconut sugar because I tend to crave the super sweet banana
bread my mother made
as a child, but the bananas alone would certainly do the trick for most... and I probably won't do this every time.

So I was on a mission to bake a
coconut flour banana
bread that would not only do good for our bodies, but would taste great
as well.
I fry or poach an egg I toast 2 pieces of sourdough
bread (use whatever
bread you'd like that's just my fave) instead of butter etc I use
coconut oil then I mash up whole or half an avocado depending on how hungry I am squeeze some 1/4 lime or lemon into avo spread it on top of the toast and sprinkle salt and pepper
as well
as some pine nuts (or anything else you'd like to top it with) and when I have tomatoes I like to cut up a few and add them
as well.
By reducing refined carbohydrates — think rice, pasta, and
bread — and adding healthy fats such
as avocados,
coconuts, and extra-virgin olive oil, you'll probably find that the weight drops right off of you.

I follow a low carb diet and it has helped me drop a lot of my visceral fat, I am a pescatarian eating salmon maybe 1 - 2 days a week max the rest of the time I am on a vegan diet (excluding
breads and grains) I also do not consume sugar and reduce fruit to 2 - 3 servings, I consume slow carbs
as beans but always at night when your body can tolerate carbs better, and I eat tons of greens I supplement with algea oil, B12, and Magnesium I do bulletproof coffee (with
coconut oil) no butter and intermittent fast and eat in a 7 hour window, I just wish Dr Greger could do a video on the effects of a low carb, 95 % plant based diet.
Coconut milk, avocado, salad dressing, steak and peanut butter are off the charts and can't be included in any diet that conforms to the Food Pyramid unless combined with foods very high in carbohydrate and low in fat such
as bread and pasta.
To replace the void if you're used to consuming lots of
bread, pasta, cereals, and other carb sources... try filling that void with more healthy fats such
as nuts, seeds, avocados,
coconut oil, olive oil, olives, grass - fed butter and cream, aged cheeses, nut butters,
as well
as healthy proteins such
as grass - fed dairy and meats, whole free - range organic eggs, etc..
I've made Elana Amsterdam's Olive - Rosemary
Bread with almond flour and almond butter
as the primary ingredients, but this was the first time I've ever made a grain - free
bread featuring
coconut and... white beans.
I'm going to try it,
as well
as cutting down on some of the required flax meal, since flax is estrogenic — maybe substituting
coconut or almond flour, making the «rye»
bread a little more authentic - looking.
As the
bread toasts, so does the
coconut.
