controllers, features a responsive design that lends itself well to platformers such
as Shovel Knight and simple

A simple set of physical buttons to get through
menus (or at the very least allow ppl to use the
controller as well) would help.
As on the Nintendo 3DS, tapping the Home Button on the Wii U GamePad pulls up a hub
menu that includes a battery life indicator, date and time, access to
controller settings, and links to the Friend List and Download Management screen.
Specifically for the PC gamer, it is worth noting that Evolve is certainly not the worst «console port» offender, but the loose weapons and 3rd person monsters both lend themselves to
controller gameplay, and the
menus and interface clearly suit a pad
as well.
Trying to fly on PC without a
controller requires swiping the mouse about the desk multiple times in the same direction to really turn, if sensitivity is increased
as required in the options
menu, it effects both in and out of vehicle movement with a single slider option running everything.

Aside from Game Mode, the Game Bar's settings
menu offers some small behavioral tweaks — such
as mapping or unmapping the bar to the center button on an Xbox
controller — plus broadcast settings and audio settings.
You can navigate this
menu simply with the
controller, and set each setting
as desired.
Each
controller features a trigger, two grip buttons, a
Menu button, a button to call up the Steam overlay, and a trackpad — twin to the nifty haptic trackpads found on the Steam
Controller, meaning each can be used
as a mouse, a scroll wheel, or a bunch of buttons depending on the developer's needs.
As for the
menus, there's the Click
Menu and the Swipe
Menu, both of which add new ways to navigate in games with Daydream
controllers.
I already mentioned the Media Remote doesn't emulate the exact same functions
as a regular
controller, which explains why the remote's
Menu button does nothing during disc playback.
Along with the standard control buttons such
as volume and
menu toggles, users will be able to use the remote
as a gaming
controller for several games such
as Rayman, Guitar Hero and even Crossy Road.
