Heist is
as generic an action movie as you can find these days.

The movie isn't overtly terrible in any way, but it's an incredibly safe and vanilla
action comedy (and the term «
action» is being used pretty loosely here) that's

What the trailers really failed to show was anything remotely resembling a compelling plot, story or hook: contrary to what producers seem to think,
generic, mindless
action will not get people to flock to the cinemas compared to something
as simple
as a good story with interesting characters.
In Before Dawn I thought the
generic horror /
action beats let down the more impressive dramatic sequences, whereas in Bait I felt it worked better
as a thriller than anything else.
But any intrigue and atmosphere is swiftly lost,
as Nick's plane crashes back in the UK and things descend into
generic action.
The vehicles themselves sound okay for the most part and there's a
generic rock soundtrack that does a good enough job of matching the on - screen
action, but the noise of certain terrain just sounds off, such
as water which just sounds... odd.
In the end the combat just comes off
as feeling like almost any other
generic button - mashing
action - adventure game's and quickly becomes repetitive.
Some come up with overly
generic names (Massive
Action Game), some with unnecessarily long ones (Peter Jackson's King Kong The Official Game of the Movie), and some with ones that shouldn't be touched at all,
as is the case with Under Siege.
But don't get me wrong, if you are a fan like I am there is enough Deadpool in here to at least wet your beak, I just wish there was more Deadpool and not
as much
generic action - shooter.
With the newer games becoming rather
generic and more
action - based
as opposed to survival - horror and puzzle - based — the Revelations games do a good job of blending the two together, but let's face it, what Resident Evil fans really want is another game that truly goes back to its roots — it's no surprise that Resident Evil fans are yearning for a true Resident Evil experience once more, and with the Resident Evil GameCube Remake HD Remastered version (what a mouthful!)
Oh, and saving the world from
generic action movie villains,
as usual.
