For this test, I connected two Netgear
Nighthawk (R7000) routers
as wireless bridges and placed one in my home theater (35 feet from the router) and the other in my home office (65 feet from the router).
As such, the
Nighthawk X6 is the first 802.11 ac router I've tested that has the potential to displace the 802.11 ac router you might already own.
If your wireless networking needs aren't
as robust, the
Nighthawk X6 is overkill.
