Tried this tonight just for me
as I'm fed up of my usual things and I happened to have all the ingredients and
normal pasta.
If you're not avoiding dairy or gluten then just use butter, milk, and
normal pasta — though I tend to buy spelt
as it has a lower gluten content.
When sieving flour, don't use your
normal sieve for the gluten free recipes
as there may be little bits of flour or
pasta caught in the holes.
As I've said many times here, these meals are teaching kids about food, whether we like the lesson being conveyed or not, and this one is teaching kids that
pasta + potatoes + brownie is a «
normal» lunch.
Pasta, frozen foods, fast foods, and restaurant foods have become so ingrained into the American Culture
as NORMAL, that eating Real Whole Foods, feeding the family Real Whole Foods, and sticking to that belief system when traveling and eating out, seems incredibly hard.
And by the way, grain - based foods like bread, cereal, muffins,
pasta, and bagels are a big culprit in causing internal inflammation and disrupting
normal gut function, so avoid grains
as much
as possible.

as everything made from
normal flour can also be bought
as a whole grain product: bread,
pasta, cereals, cookies etc..
