While I do agree that it's acceptable and important at times to establish the boundaries and make it clear that you,

parent, are in charge of the rules, I want to highlight the fact that being too authoritative
as a
parent can sometimes result in children facing problems with self - esteem,
poor coping
skills, and an inability to manage their emotions effectively.
