from empty - headed, though, Stardust is a deeply meaningful series of sweet - nothings, wholly apolitical even in a macho
supporting character revealed
as a cross-dresser and hair stylist; and by its end, it wins not in spite of being so exuberant in its indulgence of flamboyant clichés, but because it is.
You get what you expect
from Wahlberg, who delivers the troubled anithero persona well enough, and the
supporting cast is full of competent
character actors, with the exception of a miscast Mila Kunis (Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Over It)

Six main Avengers, a handful of S.H.I.E.L.D mainstays and three flesh - and - blood newbies, not to mention a robot army, means it's already a battle for screen time, yet AOU still manages to be cameo - tastic, bringing back a host of favourites
from previous stand - alone movies
as well
as some significant fresh
supporting characters (including Andy Serkis
as an arms dealer who's afraid of cuttlefish).
These three
characters take up the bulk of the screen time, with notable

from Kevin Corrigan and Lew Temple, but none can contend with the real star of the show, the inanimate beast that is the out - of - control 777,

Certainly it isn't because it's a fitting ending to the journey of Bilbo,
as he's not even involved in the majority of this film, instead taking a back seat to a host of

from Wade, it's sweet sensitive and extremely emotional in parts (not since the finale of T2 have I sobbed so much), the OTT action and gore makes a hatchet fight in a Butcher shop look clean in comparison with moments to make hardcore Gore - Geeks give a huge hooray, the cringe worthy «oh no he didn't» moments are rife, there's a touching subplot about what it really means to be Family and also we are treated to an array of colorful
supporting characters including an excellent turn
from Josh Brolin
as futuristic super soldier «Cable», a wonderful performance
from upcoming young talented star Julian Dennison (hunt for the wilder people), the obligatory Hugh Jackman cameo and a mega hard Super Villain who makes his previous onscreen incarnation seem like Vinny Jones in a giant penis suit... Oh wait!
Similarly, while the «Francois» personality gives Cera an opportunity to break away
from the awkward, teenaged persona he has gotten down to a science, that aspect of the story takes
as much of a backseat
as the rest of the gallery of
supporting characters.
Supporting cast members include Philip Seymour Hoffman and Paul Giamatti
as opposing campaign members who are cut
from the same cloth, Marisa Tomei
as a punchy and assertive newspaper journalist (probably the most unrealistic
character because I thought all those writers disappeared a long time ago) and Evan Rachel Wood
as the sexy intern temptress.
And the
supporting characters, including best - bud chef Stuart (Bill Hader), aren't
as developed
as the ones in the corresponding film — though Conor's relationship with his father (Ciarán Hinds) benefits
from the fuller treatment Them left on the editing - room floor.

as her Evil Stepmother, Helena Bonham Carter
as her Fairy Godmother, and Richard Madden

as the story stumbled along, I did enjoy keeping track of all the trendy names of various minor

from high - priced bodyguards Taylor and Sawyer and Prescott to the novelist Boyce Fox to the architect known
as Gia Matteo to the bank manager Troy Whelan.
