The thing that struck me as annoying is that instead of the brawler gameplay with a focus on ring - outs (Smash Bros), the game seems to want to be more like a traditional fighting game, so instead of building up you foe's damage, you build up a special meter, and can only defeat others (and be defeated) via those specials.
