Though both of them have some nitpick issues such
as the fingerprint sensor placement on the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and the notch on the Apple iPhone X.

Further, the metal frame itself is more grippy, fixing one of my biggest issues with the S8, and also improves things like the
fingerprint sensor placement and the curvature of the glass
as well.
Some criticized the
fingerprint sensor's
placement as awkward, but the South Korea - based tech giant reportedly had no choice.
With no Home button to house the
fingerprint sensor, it has been moved around back —
as is standard on phones from many other manufacturers — but its
placement next to the rear camera lens (
as opposed to underneath) may prove to be problematic for some users.
As you may recall, one of the loudest complaints about the Galaxy S8 and Samsung moving the
fingerprint sensor to the rear of the phone is the
placement.

sensor as they are now placed right to the two
sensor along with the
fingerprint scanner, unlike the S8 and S8 + on which, the LED flash was on the left side of

fingerprint sensor, and a tweaked camera experience.
The
fingerprint sensor on the rear side is not the ideal
placement,
as I like them on the front, just like Samsung Galaxy premium handsets, although, Xiaomi now also has a smartphone with a biometric
sensor on the front.
