Capture the Flag offers a lot more strategy and depth than straight up headshotting opponents endlessly, and there are a lot more different ways to play the game: as the defender of the home base, as the kamikazi flag runner, or
as the sniper taking potshots across no - mans - land.

On a more positive note: The maps are huge and unique in geography, the vehicles are very much fun to use, all of them, except maybe the inflatable landing boats, and the combat roles the different classes play out is refreshing: The
sniper can lay down claymores and sit back, plinking enemies from, in some maps, perhaps up to a quarter of a mile away, considering he / she is good, and has a good gaming rig, the combat medic can heal allies, and revive those who were fragged, saving them from having to respawn back at base, the support guy can lay down suppressing fire and resupply his allies with ammo, the spec ops guy can sabotage bridges, vehicles, and team assets (such
as artillery and UAV trailers) with sticky C4 charges (pity the soldier who
takes off in a jet only to have it explode in midflight from a hidden c4 charge stuck on it's body), The engineer repairs vehicles and lays down anti-tank mines, the anti-armour troop works on destroying said vehicles with wire - guided rockets (note that the armour guy in bf2 has his own gun ALONG with a pistol, not just a pistol like in 1942), and the assault guy....
The gripping build up certainly pulls you in through a sight target, only to shock
as said
sniper,
taking what feels like an eternity, before unleashing pot - shots at innocent civilians in a seemingly random killing spree.

There is more than one way to defeat enemies such
as exploiting weak spots on tanks, ambushing the foe,
taking over buildings with infantry and
snipers and much more.
Other innovative gameplay features include using your terrain
as weapons (for example shooting out glass floors below
snipers and unleashing sand on unexpecting soldiers that are looking to
take you out).
The real fun,
as it should in a game of this ilk,
takes place when you're aiming down your
sniper scope at an unsuspecting sap who's about to have a bad day.
When playing Overwatch, one player is designated
as the
sniper while the other
takes on the role of the operative.
Take it from the countless citizens who are in awe
as they pass by you, telling you how lucky you are to have a 1st Recon Battalion
sniper on your side.
Divisions include airborne which are stealthier in their footwork
as they are faster yet simultaneously quieter before firing at enemies with suppressed weapons; armoured brings the heaviest weaponry; expeditionary force is equipped with shotguns; infantry are capable of leading the attack with bayonet charges in close quarters combat or holding position to
take on enemies at mid to long range through rifle battles; and mountain are expert
snipers with sharpshooter focus for precise sniping from a distance.
We have a set mission
as a lone Marine
sniper besides just finding the kidnapped brother, to
take down the bad guys, the Separatists, and be the hero saving civilians.

It's still fun to play through the main campaign however,
as the gameplay is still very solid even though it plays pretty much the same

snipers, destroying enemy equipment, and more.
Scouts are able to move further than any other unit, but their armour is a bit lacking,
snipers can't move large distances, but obviously make up for it with the sheer range of their rifles, engineers can repair tanks and disarm mines, whilst tanks are
as mighty
as you'd imagine but greedily
take up two of your command points and have a weakness at their rear end, which you should really
take care not to expose to the enemies.
A gruesome scene quickly escalates into a chaotic battle, started off by gun - for - hire Grace Armstrong who serves
as a
sniper to
take down the enemies from afar.
