ask God things, that is a prayer, but when you sing only those, the perspective is all wrong.

God exists every day he is saying to himself / herself «why do people keep

things I have not control over, or really could care less about (people are
asking for a new shinny house to replace their perfectly fine house while millions are homeless around the world, hungry, sick, etc.)... why are they not using the gifts and skills they have».

things as kidnap and behead noncombatants act with the conviction that it is what
God wants them to do, it's relevant to

God in that, but when it comes to the supernatural, thats a different

I have just wondered through all these replys I have read that in my thoughts people usually pray sincerely when
asking God for any certain
thing.
That's one of the
things that make this whole issue so absurd — religious people demand the right to government - led prayer (a prayer that meets with their approval, of course), but the
things they'll typically
ask for in their prayers can't be by accomplished by their
god anyway, so it's a lot of unnecessary trouble over nothing.
This is a reason why I don't believe that intrusive prayers will damn you:
God will understand that those thoughts aren't what you actually want, though it may be worth
asking Him to show you why you have these intrusive thoughts, and
ask Him to, if it is His will, heal you of such
