In her recent solo exhibition, A History of the World at London's Herrick Gallery, the room was transformed into an exquisite cabinet of curiosities full of treasures and trinkets, presented in both a historical and anthropological manner.

For Cabinet (NGC Toronto) Jacob combines objects drawn from various collection areas of the National Gallery not ordinarily displayed together, extending the thematic notions of viewership, perception and the light of artistic inspiration embodied in Pictures at an Exhibition.

At Frieze London this past October, Eichelmann curated a selection of classical objects and artworks, where vases, blankets, cabinets, and objets d'art acted as plinths supporting contemporary works (the sponsoring gallery's name alone — Ancient & Modern — is apropos).

A print retrospective at the Cabinet des Estampes in Geneva traveled to the Tate Gallery in London, England.

He has electric blue eyes, thinnish lips and a habit of saying exactly what he thinks, which puts him immediately at odds with the freezer - cabinet atmosphere of the gallery.

Inspired by literary precedents such as automatic writing, by the resourcefulness of the bricoleur making do with what is at hand, and by the openness toward chance that all artistic production under severe constraint must necessarily incorporate, Cabinet's series invites a number of distinguished authors and artists to be incarcerated in its gallery space to complete a project from start to finish within 24 hours.

In 1988, Pat Steir Prints 1976 - 1988 opened at the Cabinet des Estampes, Musee d'art et histoire, Geneva, and traveled to The Tate Gallery, London.

The work has since been presented again at Art Basel 2013 with Cabinet gallery, London.

The Upper East Side townhouse that's home to this show, the Mnuchin gallery at 45 East 78th Street, is a savvy bijou of a place, with a long history of museum - quality exhibitions carefully focused on high points in modern or contemporary art — Warhol's colored soup cans, Donald Judd's stacks, Damien Hirst's medicine cabinets.
