goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many chances like
at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not been clinical. The only way a team can improve is
by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has done well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than good.Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a main cf you need to be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that because every player has his own style.Giroud limitations as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not good enough. His style of play is ok for us but a striker who can take on players and run behind
defences very well would make us very strong and also should be clinical. For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure
by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront of goal too much. For now he is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always be a pain in arsenal's neck for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey
at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but as the saying goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?

By the way why is Paulista no getting his chance. What i have observed about arsenal since we signed Mertesacker from day one and since he started playing is that Mertesacker hardly gets involved you will usually see him a few times because he does not want to get caught out.e has always been a weak link in the
defence even in his greatest performances here. When i see us playing with a high line and he is there i always laugh. It is just a mistake waiting to happen and i can tell u that it will happen again this season.Secondly why is Ramsey Cazorla and Ozil playing in the same line - up in a 4 -5-1 formation. That is just not right though it will win you some matches due to individual brilliance. It wont work
at all.Lastly the least i say about Giroud the better i am not judging him on one game. One would imagine if he was not french and like chinese will he be getting these chances under Wenger. To me he will always be an average player and i will stand
by my word even if he has good games.

It's difficult to blame Ozil for the difficulties he's faced
at Arsenal without looking
at the big picture... like the fans, he too was lied to
by Wenger... there is no doubt in my mind that he was told
by Wenger that he was trying desperately to recreate our earlier success
by acquiring players that fit the system he ran when Henry was in his prime... as we know this hasn't happened... in order for Ozl to flourish he needs some speed up front, forwards that can make intelligent runs, a boss in the midfield to compensate for his obvious defensive liabilities and defenders who can transition from
defence to offence quickly and efficiently... much like he had in Real and with the German National squad... unfortunately he ended up on a squad that has a striker who plays with his back to goal, very few intelligent runs into the box, minus Sanchez, no one to take pressure off him in the midfield, once Cazorla was injured, average defensive midfielders around him, which simply highlighted his lacking defensive qualities and defenders who lack the necessary cutting edge when it comes to transitional passing... instead of blaming Ozil, which is simply too easy, especially considering his mopey disposition, we should be asking ownership and / or Wenger why they brought him in if they didn't intend on doing what was necessary to get the best from him... can you imagine Ozil playing with the likes of Henry, Viera, Petit and Pires, it would be incredibly to watch and even more difficult to stop... so the only thing different between his experiences in Real and with the German team versus his time
at Arsenal are the players around him and we all know who is in charge of making those decisions, the Grinch who stole soccer
FFS what is wrong with our club... Turned down

by Wenger to run

So the fact that he confirmed his interest in the young English defender Tyrone Mings, as reported
by The Mirror, is fairly out of character for the Prof.. The 21 - year old is currently playing in the Championship for Ipswich Town and his usual role is as a left back, but

defence, which is coincidentally the weakest part of the Arsenal squad right now.

we had some really nice moments with lacazette jack sanchez and ozil hinting
at what could have been... and dominated for 75 minutes... but in the other 15 there was some real horror shows with bellerin a real shocker but whatever steve bold understands
by defencing he needs to think again... some of the gaps left were basic defending errors but again the failure to press is what is upsetting given the wages these guys are on... working hard should not be a big ask!!
22 attempts and 8 on target... Oh please, please someone enlighten me as to why we do nt need another CF and how Giroud is a good one when he got bullied
by a 16 year old debutant who forced him to go out wide as a lone striker, That
defence too my god people were talking about how Koscielny and Metersacker were the best pairing
at Cb no were not... and today proved why there were a few times metersacker overcommited when payet was dribblng left a gaping hole in that
defence and if westhams strikers were on the ball this would have been a much larger margin.

This time the balance that Wenger is looking for is in the team itself and he thinks that he has found that after a couple of clean sheets in a row, as an Arsenal.com report explains, helped in no small measure
by the return from injury of Laurent Koscielny

defence.

I know joel is not liked
by many, but he hasn't been given anywhere near a fair run, and his position ing around the box
at the end was better than the clump of players we have who try to pass through a solod
defence.
This is a cause for concern for Arsene Wenger's side as tougher tests await the team (the
defence line) as the season progresses
by the day, but
at least we will have Koscielny and Mustafi back when it matters.
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced
by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look
at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system...
at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch
defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless
at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted
by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed
by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and,
at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
I have to differ with you there Ozzie, the boring boring chant was started
by Liverpool fans as was the donkey chants aimed
at Tony Adams, and as much as I loved George was definitely in he's era, stands to reason with the fantastic
defence he built
But, McGregor's wrestling
defence literally doesn't exist (taken down
at will
by Tiny Mendez), so he COULD be sensible and win on the ground.
Even with the weaker
defence they had
at the Emirates we couldn't beat Man United...
By the way anything can happen in football, lets beat them
at their pitch and break the History....
Not his present achievements like Ozil & Sanchez etc, to be fair the reason why nobody really cares about them is because it took him almost 6 years to late to get on the high priced players bandwagon and even when he did, hes still trying to mix the new rules with his old dead rules
by keeping people like Flamini, letting per lead the
defence without a backup and he seems to forget these players are OLD they are more susceptible to fatigue than anyone else in the squad thats why when you look
at our games, after the second half its only our attackers that still look lively!
There are a couple of good reasons for starting Gibbs against Crystal Palace on Sunday and the first is that the game
at the Emirates is likely to be dominated
by Arsenal as we try to break down a spirited and solid
defence.
Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny will take their usual place in the heart of the Arsenal
defence and will be flanked
by Mathieu Debuchy
at right - back and Kieran Gibbs
at left - back.
Laurent Koscielny has played in every game in all competitions so far, so it would be ideal to rest the Frenchman
by moving Callum Chambers to join Per Mertesacker
at central
defence and bringing in Hector Bellerin
at right - back.
We were all having a laugh
at mourinho's
defence of a team that went down three nil and outplayed yet fans take these totally stupid comments
by wenger seriously... The man lost the football plot 5 years ago if not before and has convinced himself the board and enough fans that 4th place is sufficient for arsenal fc... It's actually sad as a couple of quality signings would give us a shouting chance
at least... Instead he talks up a bunch of massively overpaid players who would not look out of place in Everton spurs or villa but are not close to european elite
