at the Studio In The Park program, and has worked in partnership with Amplifier Inc., RadiatorArts, and the Newtown Creek Alliance.
Soon after, Calder received commissions to make both Mercury Fountain for the Spanish Pavilion
at the Parisian World Fair (a work that symbolized Spanish Republican resistance to fascism) and Lobster Trap and Fish Tail, a sizable
mobile installed in the main stairwell of the
Museum of Modern Art in New York.
