This Sunday will be launched the third interview in which Marcius Galan speaks of the experience of spending three months in London attending the artist residency program
at Gasworks (which was part of the prize for winning the
PIPA 2012).
In order to participate in
PIPA Prize, an artist must be nominated
at least once by a member of this year's Nominating Committee.
Once they have sent materials, the artists who will participate in
PIPA Prize 2018 will be featured with profile pages on our websites, adding to the 335 artists who have already participated in
at least once previous edition of the Prize.
As part of the award, for being
PIPA 2012 winner, Marcius Galan begins this month his artist residency
at Gasworks, the prestigious institution, in London.
Featuring eight artists — more than half of them nominated to
PIPA Prize, Bruno Dunley, Erika Verzutti, Luiz Roque, Pedro França and Sofia Borges — , the exhibition that opened this week
at Central Galeria was curated by painter and print - maker Leda Catunda.
All the names sent by the Nominating Committee were published, but only the nominated artists that sign the Term of Participation and accomplish all the requirements of
PIPA Coordination within the terms fixed, are considered Participating Artists and may run for the Prize in its three categories, and will have profile pages
