Between the exhaustion and cluelessness of being a new mom, low breast milk supply,
postpartum depression, a short maternity leave, little
support, and the fact that breastfeeding was freaking hard and didn't come naturally for me (and was often painful and frustrating) it's amazing that I was able to breastfeed

We actually have a

at the store, which is something that's really important to us.
Women in our study had a high rate of breastfeeding
at 6 weeks
postpartum (69 %) compared with other Australian data showing that 58 % of all infants were fully breastfed
at 2 months of age.50 This may have been owing to a higher motivation of women in our cohort, and a good level of
support and continuity of midwifery care, which has been shown to enhance rates of breastfeeding.
