at school, and his mother, who keeps their household together through a series of diner jobs while dealing with the attentions of a fond but potentially troublesome suitor.
Yet while there were undoubtedly worse
films at the
festival, the failure of Gravity is not, in my opinion, relative.
Hopefully, one of the
films in the
festival's back half will be its true salvation (Holy Motors hadn't screened
yet at this time two years ago; nor had Only Lovers Left Alive last year), but this one will do for the moment.
While definitely not the worst
film I saw
at the
