chest high region between Kuta Reef and Airport Left.
This morning the 24th and our 6.45 am surf check on the Outer reefs of Tuban was still only showing wave
height in the waist to
chest high
at best range.

Ketut has taken a run down to the Southern end of the island this morning (while I catch up on domestic stuff
at home) and phoned through from Bingin calling

chest to slightly over head class.
We arrived
at 9.00 AM to find wave
height in the 2 - 3ft (
chest to head high) with a few bigger set waves hitting the Main Peak.
Ketut is already up on location
at Canggu this morning and has phoned through calling
in wave
height at chest to over head high on all 3 of the main sections
in that area.
Ketut has phoned through calling wave
height to also be coming through
in the
chest to well over head high range and some mighty fine waves breaking on all 3 of the main sections
at Canggu (Echo Left, Sandbar & River mouth).
Considering wave
height was only
in the waist to
chest high range with a couple of bigger freak sets hitting the river mouth and
at Echo.
The surf
at Bahia Ballena is consistent, meaning you will typically find soft breaking waves which average about two to four feet
in height (
chest to head - high) and can offer ride lengths of up to 100 yards, pretty much any day of the year.
