Your special weapon is determined by your main weapon, and includes everything from a protective bubble, using a barrage of sub weapons without having to use your ink supply, one reveals
enemy positions, another launches a tornado of ink
at any location you desire by using the GamePad screen, and so on.
The
enemy AI is also quite good with soldiers reacting when one of their comrades goes down, and you had better have ample cover close
at hand since they will quickly pin - point your gunfire and concentrate on your
position.

enemies are borderline all - knowing, always aware of player
position, and will strafe across open areas, firing directly

Taking
enemies down from behind silently and hiding the bodies from patrolling guards is a great way to keep alarms
at a minimal; raising one means you'll have to «relocate» to another area before

position and all hell breaks loose — you won't take too much damage before death, which benefits the gameplay greatly.
You've got the likes of the Bounty Hunter who's effective
at taking out
enemies with his powerful attacks, the Grave Robber who carefully
positions herself to fight from afar, the Houndmaster who brings his dog into battle with him, and the Abomination who is incredibly strong but can't be in a party with any religious characters.
