Even if people decorating their cars are more concerned with holiday cheer than maximizing fuel economy, it's
at least an interesting premise.

interesting premise for a family comedy, although it does come off as a second - rate rekindling of the Jumanji (rampant animal madness) and Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure formulas (a motley ensemble of historical figures coming together to help the people of the present).
While Freddy's Revenge isn't really in keeping with the first film in the nature of Freddy, whose powers seem to now come with the house, it still has an
interesting premise and
at least takes a direction that makes it less of a rehash of the first film than other slasher film sequels have been.
There is energy, though, and an
interesting main
premise, but the reason Fred Claus ends up being another misfire is that a film with this much budget, along with Vince Vaughn (The Break - Up, Mr. and Mrs. Smith) front and center, should have
at least a handful of belly laughs.
