LDS / Mormon is very different than a subset of Christianity (most Christians don't consider it Christianity
at all), and therefore since it is not as well known as mainline Christianity (Catholic and Protestant), criticizing particular details (hair - splitting) is still useful on educating
others on LDS
beliefs — even if done so in a negative way.
