plan or, if you
plan on having kids, a
parenting prenup or,
at the very
least, some discussions about the what, when, where, why and how of having and raising a baby.
To prevent arguments, create a formal
parenting plan and update it
at least once a year.

Plans (RESPs) work in a similar vein; as the name suggests, they help
parents, family and friends save towards a child's future post-secondary education (it actually makes for a great holiday gift —
at least for the kid who has everything).
