Right now, I think if you look
at the major publishers who are involved in the publication of what the industry refers to as trade book, bestselling fiction and non-fiction works, they have very different positions with respect to e-book borrowing from libraries.

publishers, and I know of more than one bestselling author
who's moved to self - publishing and found professional editors and cover designers and formatters
who are better than the ones they worked with
at their
publishers.
Major publishers are going to begin dispensing refunds to people
who purchased eBooks from Apples iBookstore
at agency level prices.
I think the hybrid contract is going to become more prominent — you look
at authors such as Hugh Howey and James Oswald
who have retained their eBook rights and have sold paperback rights to
major publishers.
