motherhood and I assure you that staying
at home is one of the most difficult
things I've ever done.
The media is full of all the divisive
motherhood debates on which you must pick a side and be desperately offended by and judgemental of anyone else who does the opposite
thing, be it breast vs bottle, co-sleeping vs cot, stay
at home vs not.
At - home
motherhood may include those
things, but often is also a «scream through the park» (if toys get taken or sand gets into little eyes), a «whine through the park» (if the ice cream truck shows up and mom doesn't want to buy), or a «collapse in the park» (from the exhaustion of trying to keep up with small children all day)!

Who knew that
motherhood would be such a double - edged sword - unequivocally the most important
thing I have ever done, yet in some ways constantly
at odds with some of the other
things I do to try to help make the world a better place.
Along the way, I've talked with other moms, consulted with TWO lactation consultants (who should get extra angel wings for their amazing service to
motherhood and all
things good), and have the best husband ever who's helped me
at every turn.
I was lashing out
at my family, feeling sluggish, fatigue, brain fog, eating everything in sight, felt no purpose
at work, couldn't hack the
motherhood thing, dealing with infertility, and chronic low back / pelvic pain.
I'm going to take a stab
at this whole writing about
motherhood thing but before we begin let me start this post off by saying two
things.
I'm not a perfect mom or a super mom, I am just a mom, struggling to figure out this
motherhood thing one day
at a time.
At first I must admit it was hard adjusting to this tiny new person in my life, but honestly
motherhood is the best
thing ever.
