My almost -4-year-old is back to almost eating like a real person and last night
she ate pepper slices, cherry tomatoes, salsa, and a tortilla for dinner (we had fajitas).

Our garden did great this summer... Our favorite way to
eat our tomatoes is
sliced in half, drizzled with really good olive oil and sprinkled with salt and
pepper.
Who wouldn't want to
eat fajitas for lunch all week!?! Seasoned chicken,
sliced peppers, onions: our mouths are watering!
Instead, he would
eat sandwiches made with thick
slices of homemade bread, piled with a variety of cured meat, cheese, pickled
peppers, olives, or just about any other type of vegetable.
But since the FIL has me covered, there's lots of tomato sauces, salads, and just plain
sliced pieces sprinkled with sea salt,
pepper and drizzled in olive oil,
eaten up in great batches.

pepper and oregano)-- Sometimes I top with a little cheese and avocado and / or
eat with WASA crackers or a piece of fruit
One of my favorite ways to
eat cooked spaghetti squash is tossed with a little bit of olive oil, salt and
pepper and served with a side of avocado and freshly
sliced seasonal tomatoes.
A fresh
slice of a homegrown tomato sprinkled with salt and
pepper between two
slices of bread that has been slathered with mayonnaise or butter is a sandwich that many people grow up
eating here in the south.
When I start to get hungry around 10 a.m. I
eat a handful of walnuts or almonds, or apple
slices with almond butter, or an avocado with balsamic vinegar and a little salt and
pepper.

EATING - get her involved in preparing food, putting chopped vegatables in a salad for example, make a picture on a plate with broccoli (trees), peas (grass), toast (a fence), yellow
pepper (the sun - place
slices criss - crossed over each other in a circle shape).
A mashed avocado, finely diced tomato, lemon juice, and whatever herb the child enjoys will be a fun way to
eat the
sliced celery, red
pepper, carrots and cucumber.
But instead of
eating it with bread or some other baked snack made from flour, try pairing it with vegetables like celery,
slices of bell
peppers or carrots.
Serve vegetables and 1/2 -1
sliced avocado over scrambled eggs, sea salt and
pepper to taste, and (optional)
eat by wrapping everything in nori seaweed wrap and using the nori like a scoop.
Note: if you are not
eating this immediately, store the components (e.g. grilled chicken, grilled
peppers and onions, pico de gallo, and avocado
slices) separately in containers in the refrigerator.
I will
eat a mix salad with 2 cups of arugula and 3 - 4 cups of romaine with broccoli sprouts (top source of sulforaphane) red
pepper, cucumber, green onion, toasted pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and sometimes
sliced almonds.
Lucy, I usually
eat it with thinly
sliced carrots and celery, or raw bell
pepper.

eating an omelette like this for breakfast: - 4 eggs - 1/2 cup mushrooms,
sliced - 1/4 cup bell

I've used
slices of granny smith apples, cherry tomatoes, grapes, mini
peppers, sweet baby pickles, etc... The options are endless — just opt for little items that are able to be
eaten in one bite and can be picked up with either a toothpick or your fingers without causing a mess.
