publishing houses have to offer in the coming season.
Recently I had the opportunity to
attend Book Expo America, which is the premier
publishing industry
trade show in the US.
With this service, your book is displayed at influential
trade shows that are
attended by the people you want to see your book such as agents, publishers, book buyers, booksellers, media, and anyone involved in the
publishing industry.
Even for me — after
attending nearly a hundred book fairs and
publishing industry
trade shows over the past 5 plus years — I have a rolodex of images in my head representing book fairs that go all the way back to my elementary school cafeteria where wood tables were set up and piles of hardcover versions of «The Magic School Bus» were laid out and sold for $ 5 each to students.
At the apex of this ideal, all of those options get rolled into one: you obtain a speaking opportunity at an annual conference where the organizers will
publish your presentation after the event and where you get exhibit space at the accompanying
trade show,
attended by industry participants.
